This seminar is designed for individuals who are
contemplating or facing marital separation or divorce
and want information about the various paths to
divorce in Georgia.

While every divorce in Georgia requires a court order
to dissolve the marriage, couples can choose to use
mediation, arbitration or med-arb (a hybrid) to avoid
protracted litigation and costly legal battles. In other
words, the amount of time spent in court or court
proceedings can be controlled.

This course provides information regarding how the
processes of mediation, arbitration, and "Med-Arb" can
assist couples in "tee-ing up" an uncontested divorce
(with or without attorneys) or a settlement in pending
litigation.

Additionally, what every couple will need to do in
preparation for divorce, whether in litigation or
mediation, is reviewed and written materials,
checklists, and other resources are provided. Other
topics, including child support worksheets, parenting
plans, divorcing parents seminars (court required),
retirement issues, financial affidavits, and alimony, also
are discussed. Ample time is provided for questions and
answers.

The seminar occurs on the Saturdays highlighted on the
calendar on this page. Seminar classes are limited to 10
attendees and are taught by panelists with One
Mediation, most of whom are attorneys.

404-720-0599 or by clicking on the open Saturdays on
